A Missed Opportunity
Unlike so many others who had better judgment, I didn’t pick up any new hobby or skill during the pandemic. My wife for example learned to paint and my brother started learning the guitar. I spent my pandemic days indulging in escapism by playing Red Dead Redemption 2 (an amazing game I should write about someday).
I am catching up with everyone else now, and trying to pick some hobby other can coding and ML. Writing is one example, but doesn’t really feel like a proper hobby because I know how to do it. So I have also started sketching these days. I picked up a book containing Japanese art collection from the Edo era. Japanese art is soothing and I’m happy that am able to replicate at least some part of it.
